Jazz dance is deeply rooted in American history and American Dance. As with many styles it has evolved and changed over the years, but always emphasizes rhythm, groundedness, and a connection to the Earth. PSPA’s jazz classes are perfect for anyone looking to learn the basics of jazz dance as well  as improve their jazz technique. We teach a broad range of styles in our jazz classes and incorporate classic techniques such as Jerry Robbins and Fosse. These classes are high energy and allow the dancer to brow in many styles of movement.

 

The Pennsylvania School of the Performing Arts is proud to offer excellent training in a variety of styles of dance for all ages! Our classes are designed so each student receives excellent training in a nurturing environment, with an emphasis on individualized attention.
